Jamelayigoon, called Fig Tree Hole in English, is north of the bush turkey dreaming site of Lightning Creek at a place where a river runs between high cliffs. Along the river are waterholes that are the dreaming place of birlinji, the red river gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) which broke here in ancestral times. Paddy Bedford's father was born close to the site of Jamelayigoon. The artist's personal dreaming inherited from his father, minyjiwarrany the black plum is also associated with this place.
