Description
The Maku Tjukurpa (witchetty grub songline) is a significant singling for this area. The women from Mimili would go to the waterhole north of Mimili. They would clean it out then await for the rain to come. When the waterhole was full with water they would tap on the waters surface and sing for Maku Tjuta (enough Maku for everyone). This ceremony is still performed today and the people from Mimili still enjoy digging for Maku.
