MAPARNJARRA: Jackie Kurltjunyintja Giles

This exhibition presents a select group of works from the Estate of the commanding Ngaanyatjarra artist and Maparnjarra – medicine man – Jackie Kurltunyintja Giles (circa 1937 -2010). Renowned as a man of supreme cultural knowledge, Jackie Giles lived and worked at the remote community of Patjarr, WA, where he bridged two worlds as both healer and painter.
