Now in its second decade, Significant endures as D Lan Galleries flagship exhibition, consistently presenting the finest secondary market offering of Australian First Nations art. This landmark annual event offers collectors rare access to museum-quality paintings and sculptures. Again, this year’s exhibition will open simultaneously at our galleries in Melbourne, Sydney, and New York.

The foundation of this year’s exhibition is a remarkable selection of early Papunya paintings by several of the most celebrated artists from the seminal 1971-72 period, including Kaapa Mbitjana Tjampitjinpa, Johnny Warangula Tjupurrula, and Uta Uta Tjangala.

Another feature is a large-scale installation of 45 individual drawings and paintings by Nyapanyapa Yunupiŋu. Djorra 2014-15 was the centrepiece of the artists survey exhibition at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory in 2020.

Also on exhibition are historic works by Rover Thomas, Queenie McKenzie, Albert Namatjira, Emily Kam Kngwarray and Shorty Lungkata Tjungurrayi. Other artists include Sally Gabori, Noŋgirrŋa Marawili, Timo Hogan, Kunmanara Patju Presley, and Keith Wikmunea.
