Visibility, Voice + Power: The International Rise Of Indigenous Women Artists
From Emily Kam Kngwarray’s major retrospective at Tate Modern, to presentations featuring Makinti Napanangka, Naata Nungurrayi and Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori at Frieze Masters, and Naminapu Maymuru-White at Frieze London, senior Indigenous Australian women artists are reshaping how the world understands and values Indigenous artistic practice.
Join us for a conversation with curators Kimberley Moulton and Tamsin Hong, and writer Jennifer Higgie who will explore why this is happening now, what it means, and where it’s taking us. This timely discussion will be moderated by Vanessa Merlino, Head of Research at D’Lan Contemporary.
